Ingredients
- shortening (Crisco) 1 ½ cup
- sugar 4 cup
- pumpkin, canned 1 qt
- egg 3 pc
- vanilla extract 1 tbsp
- flour, white (white sifted all-purpose) 7 ½ cup
- salt 1 tsp
- baking powder 3 tsp
- baking soda 3 tsp
- nutmeg 3 tsp
- cinnamon (ground) 3 tsp
- walnuts (chopped) (optional) 2 cup
- semi-sweet chocolate chips (Nestle) 2 cup
Instructions
Mix together shortening and sugar.
Add pumpkin, eggs, vanilla until well combined.
Mix together remaining ingredients and add to the above wet ingredients in a LARGE bowl a little at a time, stirring after each addition until well mixed.
Bake at 375F degrees on a greased cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes. makes a ton, so you may wish to scale the recipes to your desired size.
